How fentanyl kills: A CBC News explainer
The science behind fentanyl. This short video really helps you gain a better understanding of what these drugs are doing to the body. It is incomprehensible how many of these users know the risks of ODing, but continue to abuse the drug for their dopamine rewards.
Marijuana can also raise dopamine levels, but is still classified as a schedule 1 drug. I'm sure we will have a discussion on marijuana later on in the term, but I'm curious about your opinions on marijuana itself and its potential legalization (in Michigan or in the U.S.).

The video explains a lot! I believe marijuana should be legalized. I thought it was interesting in places where marijuana use was legal, it actually was be a lower percentage of the citizens.
ReplyDeleteThis was a really interesting video, it really broke down what fentanyl does to the brain and why it is so deadly. I think the legalization of marijuana would be beneficial to the U.S., because of the numerous health benefits of it as well as it may even bring down the rate of people who use Marijuana. As you can see in Amsterdam it is tolerated, but rarely used by the residents, most people who purchase cannabis are tourists.
ReplyDeleteHelpful vid. Nationwide marijuana legalization will take a while because it's still attached to an old-school concept that gives it a bad wrap to too much of the public. I do 100% support it for the same reasons Brett and Randi listed and it is a very profitable industry.
